Rachel Bostick is an illustrator based in Austin, Texas. Her work takes inspiration from a fascination with fantastical folklore, haunting historical tales, and old-world beauty to tell stories that are at once both mystical and eerie, and whimsical and wondrous. She often incorporates hand-lettering and custom typography in her illustrations, and enjoys creating work for a variety of applications including book covers and interiors, graphic novels, picture books, zines, posters, merchandise, etc.
When she's not working at her home in Austin (daydreaming about one day working out of a Gothic manor deep in a forest), Rachel spends her time drinking coffee, analyzing horror movies, and spoiling her little goblins (these creatures are also sometimes known as cats).
Rachel is available for both private commissions and commercial work. If you have questions or are interested in working together on a project, please get in touch by email.
Rachel also works as a visual designer on projects spanning book design, branding, and marketing. You can view her design work here.
