Hello, I’m Rachel!
After completing my BFA in Communication Design in 2018 I spent a few years working as a book designer (moonlighting as an illustrator), before attending the Cambridge School of Art in England where I received a MA in Children’s Book Illustration in 2023.
I've had the opportunity to collaborate with amazing clients across the book world from publishers like Hachette to book boxes including FairyLoot, Illumicrate, Fae Crate, Bookish Box, and LitJoy Crate, as well as many incredible authors both traditionally and self-published.
I create illustrations and designs for young adult and adult fiction, along with custom typography, merchandise, and more!
I enjoy combining expressive lineart, lush textures, and muted color palettes to create work full of moody atmosphere and gothic romanticism. I am inspired by a lifelong love of faerie tales and horror films, a fascination with the 19th century, and whatever my current hyperfixation may be. Recent hyperfixations have included the Crime Junkie podcast, bands like Bad Omens, Ateez, and Stray Kids, and various witchy things.
